TexCalc uses color coding to help you understand how each field behaves:
Blue fields are input-only. You manually enter values and they remain unaffected by other fields.
Green fields are result-only and automatically update based on your inputs.
Yellow fields serve a dual purpose — you can enter values manually, but they may also update dynamically depending on the values of other related fields.
Speed up your workflow with these keyboard shortcuts:
You can use your keyboard to enter values directly, even while the calculator widget is open, ensuring a smooth and efficient input experience.

Developer | Textile Engineer
I'm Waqas Tariq, a textile engineer with over two decades of experience in the textile industry. My work spans computational weaving, fabric simulation, and the integration of digital tools to enhance traditional textile processes.
I have extensive hands-on expertise with Scotweave and Pointcarre Textile Software, working across Jacquard, Dobby, Yarn Dyed, and 3D weaving structures. Over the years, I’ve contributed to design development and production in Fashion Wear, Home Textiles, and Bottom Wear categories, combining CAD/CAM proficiency with practical manufacturing insight.
I developed TexCalc to make my own work easier and more efficient. It includes features I always wished existed in a textile calculator—purpose-built for the technical decisions and calculations textile engineers handle every day. I'm sharing it with fellow professionals in the hope that it helps them work smarter, just as it has helped me.
Through TexCalc and similar tools, my mission is to build practical, accessible technology that truly supports our industry—bridging the gap between engineering expertise and modern digital innovation.
